"End of the Line" — Michael's 5 Favorite Car Chase Movies

Whether it’s Mustangs or Mopar, movies or muscle cars, car chases or classic cop cars, this incredibly detailed painting has it all. Taking inspiration from car classics of the silver screen, Michael has created a montage of, not only the muscle behind the magic, but also the final location where each chase came to an end. Look closely at the background, can you see where the action ended?

When deciding to do a painting featuring his favorite car chase scenes, Michael had to narrow down the field. He did this by choosing his top five and including only Mustangs and Mopars. With such a diverse ensemble cast, the setting became the next challenge. This is where Michael's eye for detail and incredible imagination really come into play. He chose to create a seamless backdrop based on scenes from each of the five movies. He even included the cops that played a key role in each chase. Look closely, and you'll discover bulldozers (Vanishing Point), a locomotive (Dirty Mary Crazy Larry), a dead-end Las Vegas alley (Diamonds are Forever), a car wash (Gone in 60 seconds) and a service station (Bullitt).
